in Korea

This is going to be very brief...we're short on time these days and constantly on the go...

But we are in Korea. I have met each birth parent.

We are currently in Pusan and leaving for Gyeongju today. We'll be on our way to Daegu the day after tomorrow and then back to Seoul.

Each meeting with each birth parent was of course emotional and overwhelming but beautiful and wonderful.

I'm spending more time with my birth mother today. My birth father wants to take our whole tour group out for dinner.

I can't wait to describe the outfit he was wearing for our first meeting...

I wish I could write more...but I've got to get going...

Thank you for all of your support.

I have so much to say...

I don't doubt you have much to say. Fortunately, I'm dying to hear every word! :)

It was good to get an update. I'm so happy for you.

I'm so happy for you! I wish I'd known about this sooner (I don't think Rachel ever told me) - we or my in-laws might have been able to help you. Or at least we could have practiced our Korean together.

Now I have to go back and read the whole story! I can't wait to hear more about how it went. :-)

(in case you don't know who this is - while still trying to maintain my anonymous online identity ;-) - I'm one of the GT girls and I married the Korean guy in the campus ministry. And I was one of your SIL's maids of honor in her wedding.)

How wonderful. Wishing you the best on your journey, I hope it is full of discoveries and answers.
We just got back and we found them. It was an amazing trip.

I was lying in bed and had a sudden urge to check your blog to read updates about your reunion. Great to see that you have met your birth parents and hopefully have had a positive experience. I can't wait to read about your thoughts of Korea and meeting your parents.

congrats and good luck!

Missy, HHHUUUUUGGGGSSS for you! I know you feel obligated to share your experiences, but do take your time. Leave the suitcases on the floor, and just lay there with all the stuff (and cry, laugh, pray to God to help you work through it all). Love you.
